Some New Pix - Got Bored And Upgraded + New Bumblebee Shrimp

i'm so sad getting excited about a filter

Its not Sad, its what being an Aquarist is all about
Don't worry I was soooooooooooooooo Hyper to get this set up and working when it arrived.

Fantastic pics Gill! I love the pico, great idea! I have a glass with some pest snails in that I couldn't bare to flush. I've fed some to my goldfish and WCMMs but deciding what to do now. The pico is a brilliant idea!

Couple of questions though... You're in Coventry right? (same as me)... Where'd you get your pygmy cories from? I'm considering getting a small group for a 27L nano I'm setting up (with a similar external filter! - "Boyu" chinese rip-off!) but unsure where to get them from :)

Also, is that duckweed in the top of the pfk cube, with the tiny green roots?

I got them from Maidenhead Aquatics in Harlestone Heath, Northampton - No More than 35Mins in the Car from Coventry. If I remember 6 for 8 Quid. they sell most fish cheaper in larger groups.

Yep Duckweed in the top of the cube. You want some i can send you some this week

Love your fishy pics Gill  All very nice.

I have a question about your Eden 501 filter, hope you don't mind me asking  . Do you get algae or yucky stuff accumulating on the inside of the soft tubings (both intake & output)? I have the same filter running for a number of weeks now and keep getting gunk on the tubings. Just wondering if it is normal. Thanks :good:

Yeah i get gunk and algae accumulating in the tubes, Its normal don't worry. I got a Pipe cleaner and it cleans them out really well.

Thanks for re-assuring me Gill. It was starting to get to me since it only appears on the soft flexi tubings that's in contact with water. None of the hard plastic parts affected. I thought it was to do with the tubing material

Forgot to mention that I love your daphnia cocktail :D Do they breed themselves in a tub setting like that?

Got So bored decided to change the living room layout and create a tank corner on the other side of the Living Room.

So got the 10Gallon out of the garage and hey presto, Instant Tank. All the Plants that were in the cube are now in this. With the Eldonea from the fry Tank.

Yeah, it can get annoying having nearly 10 empty tanks at your disposal and thinking of where to put them. Sizes ranging from 0.75 Gallons to 10 Gallons

Is your bristlenose plec fully grown yet???

I'm thinking about getting one but I'm having a hard time imagining the size they're going to be - I read 6 inches but its hard to imagine, and I've been looking for some photos that would show some kind of perspective (their size in relation to another object - I've seen some people hold fish in the palm of their hand to do this) and I see one where yours is kind of near an albino cory, and I have some of these too.

Do you have any more shots of him showing his size?

Also is he a poop machine???
