And how do I get rid of it? :-(

Brown algae in a tank is common if means the tank is maturing.
You have alot of fish there need to look at the size of the tank in gallons or litres.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Well I don't worry about the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate because I clean the tank too often. But the ph is 6.6 and it's not the brown algae I'm worried about as that is harmless to the fish. If you look at the bottom picture you will see the fur-like matter on the glass. I woke up this morning it wasn't there, got home and it was all over the tank.

I'm worried about your water stats as you have alot of fish in the tank.
You can get fur algae.
We need your stats and size of the tank in gallons we can pin point it then.

I saw it and I had it in a new tank set up you just clean it off with a glass magnet.
But don't know how long your tank has been set up, you have alot of fish in the tank, thats why we need to know the size.

That's ok then looked like they were all in the same tank.
How long has the tank been set up.

Oh, the tank is 40 gallon and thank you for your advise, I will get rid of it as soon as possible.

Tank has been set up for a pretty long time, about 3 years.

Read that link under brown algae.
I would test your water, and if that fine more gravel vacs and water changes.

Yeah, it's about time for another water change, but I've got to wait for the frys to get a little older so I don't stress them out to the point of death.

If you don't have a test kit take a sample of your water to the lfs and tell them to write the readings down for you.
Need to look at that nitrate reading as that tells you alot.
