when i look in my tank i keep seeing lumps of like clear jelly with little white lumps of them. i found 3 so far, one and a leaf, one on the back glass, and ive just found another in the corner of the glass. i taken them all out so far just to be safe.

anyone got any ideas, i dont think they can be snails cos the one that i had i took out. the only fish i have are 3 panda corys. id really appreciate any help.
cheers

i did have a very small one that came with the plants but i took it out because i think it was eating the plant leaves. i definately havent seen any others.

I would expect more snails to come then, many snails can produce huge quantitys of eggs in a short period of time and many don't need a snail of the oposite gender to produce baby snails with.

Ya i found a couple small snails on my driftwood yesterday... so i took it out to inspect and found a couple clumps of eggs underneith, which sound very similar....needless to say i dispossed of them quickly...

hopefully i nipped ithem in the bud before they got settled...wishful thinking i know

heres hoping you do too

does it seem like a bunch of dots in clear jelly? if so they are snails eggs. If it's just one white or yellow egg, they could be cory eggs as they scatter them all around

If they are indeed snail eggs, trumpet snails will eat the eggs of other snail species and give live birth themselves, so that would be one way to get rid of them. Of course, then you'll have a substrate made almost entirely out of trumpet snails like I do, but at least they stay burried most of the day and won't munch your plants!
