Hi All
I have recently been in a lfs , This is not a good place to be as I have reported this shop to the rspca as worst I have been in  . My problem is there are 3 adult keyholes that I really want to save but not sure if my tank would be ok? prob already no your answer but so badly want them , here is my stock at mo

My tank is 4ft and 240lt
Fish     3 Angels
            1 Kissing Gourami
            2 Keyholes ( very young )
            1 Spotted Headstander
            1 Female German Blue Ram
             4 Glass fish
            10 Panda Cories
             1 Brn

All advice on this as finding it hard not to buy these 3 keyholes , 1 was def male could not see what sex the other 2 were as they were squeezed behind the heater

I'd say the tank is very crowded as it is now.

Hi what if I find new home for the 4 glass fish and female german blue ram ?

well you should rehome the kissing gourami also , they grow pretty big and ive eard of problems mixing them with angels, well gouramis in general.

Hi  I have no problems with my gourami and angels and tank is 4ft long , if it gets to a point where it is a problem then will rehome her , prob rehome the angels first as she is really friendly and eats out of my hand .

ok but im saying removing it would help to uncrowd the tank.

Hi I do understand what you are saying , trying to help , I have a couple of fish which are my favourites including Freda

oh okay have you seen 2 of the angels pairing? if 2 do and theres one left the that one might get killied.

Hi just starting to so keeping an eye on this as no it can be a problem , I have a small tank to put her in if need quick get out , but prob taking her to lfs tomorrow , not the horrible 1 where the 3 keyholes are

Personally, I would forget about the keyholes. Rescuing them might seem like the right thing to do but when you think about it, the LFS is just going to order in more and keep them in the same conditions so saving them is a lost cause. I would focus on providing ideal conditions for your own fish first because like the others have said, you are overstocked.
Removing your gourami would certainly help seen as it is a bit too big for the tank anyway when you consider that it grows to 12 inches

Hi gourami and 1 angel have now gone, but would have to disagree with tank being over crowded but have taken your advice

You did the right thing!
The gourami was the problem really. A 12 inch fish has no place in a tank that size. Now that those two are gone, you could possibly add a few smaller fish to replace them.
Possibly a few more headstanders?
Good luck with your angelfish pair anyways!

Hi cheers for all your advice, I will get another male gbr as just lost mine when away on hols and tank a mess when got back

really not sure what to get as the male angel is bit of a brute and he has only just started to pair but makes up with lots of personality, I really like cichlids.

Yeah cichlids are great!
Seen as you enjoy them, have you considered rehoming your headstanders, glassfish and cories and dedicating your tank to SA cichlids? You could probably put 1 or 2 more mid sized ones in there if you do. Maybe Festivums or acaras?

Hi I must confess I love the blue acara but thought they would be to aggressive for my keyholes ? but will def think about this as an option.
So would acara be ok with my angels , keyholes and gbr ? I have just been looking at the festivums, they look great aswell.
What would be better 1 of each or 2 of 1 as not wanting to go down the breeding road ?
Sorry for all the questions only do not want to make another mistake
