My preferred pet store has these 2 beautiful catfish in stock, but nobody can identify them. They came in from a previous owner. I'd like to stock my 75-gallon tank with more bottom dwelling fish and would like their identifications to see if it would be a good match!
Here's some (maybe) useful information (I will refer to the marbled fish as "Fish 1" and the silver fish as "Fish 2").
The manager of the fish department believes that Fish 1 may be a synodontis.
The manager of the fish department doesn't believe that Fish 2 is a channel catfish (it could still be).
The previous owner reported that Fish 2 has never grown very big.
Fish 1 is about 6 inches.
Fish 2 is about 5 inches.
Below are linked images of both catfish, Thank you!!
