Hi All,

I have tried to look for the thread about soil in a tank but cant seem to find anything. I am currently doing the 2 week water cycle, my setup i would like is guppies, with cherry shrimps maybe molly's too and a sucker fish... not sure what kind yet maybe some help. i have a 20L tank, do i need soil in order to grow plants? and what gravel/sand is recomended.. am not using any CO2.

any help will be great. :)

20ltr is very small for a "sucker fish" they grow very very big.

Cactus soil works well for a tank and buying play sand out of a shop would be cheaper. Just make sure to wash the sand very well before putting it in.
