LOL, this is apparently one of amano`s photography studio setups. And i always thought he was just using a simple point and click :hyper:

Haha thats good work Chris, makes me feel a million times better about the crap that I produce! How the hell do you get it there in the first place, let along take the photos!

lol, me too!!! :D

Look at the background, that obviously what they mean when they say they shine a light at the background.

Also have u noticed the fully sealed hood with a specialised photography light, i.e. not the normal growing light used!!

Yeh, that and the rest! Look at the camera! Well I guess he is one of the best in the world so you'd expect him to be using decent equipment!

I dont think I'll never get a set-up like that, unless I win the lottery that is

If my tank had wheels on the cabinet I might be able to wheel it out to get a decent shot, but really trying to capture something in that way would be impossible. I also think Amano and Co. use medium format cameras which are incredibly detailled and normally used for taking shots of landscapes and suchlike. You can guarantee the lenses alone would cost 1000s.

Is that a plate cammera!!?? :D I'd have thought that background is a translucent white material which can have spotlights shone in certain places on it to create that lighting effect.

Thanks,
Chris

Don't forget, Amano was a photographer before he gained popularity for his planted tanks...
