I just had to share the amazing

size my Tiger lotus has acheived without any fertilizers being added to the tank or Co2 being added. Sorry the water is murky (its had some issues of late), but you get the idea about its size. If it keeps growing like this I think I'll need a deeper tank

And the last picture should show the whole height of the tank

Oh and there is a breeding pair of bristle noses in the tank who are constantly churning out 100+ bubs and even all those mouths have not knocked the lotus out

When I got it, it was only tiny and in a pretty bad way

after being posted from somewhere in NSW (New South Wales), but in the last couple of months or so it has really hit its straps. I just can't believe how insanely it has been growing, but I am pleased it is doing so well since all of my tanks are low tech.

Thanks for the compliment. The endlers are only a fairly recent addition to my fish collection, I had wanted them for ages but they had been very hard to get in my area and everyone I found selling them didn't want to post them.

Wow nice plants Baccus......if they become a big problem and you have to chop them down a bit.....I know someone who could take the pesty things off you.

Ummm, some pesky tiger lotus, never thought it would get to that, but I am sure you would like the all red lotus I also have that is just starting to hit its straps now the loaches are stopping the snails from munching it to death.
You can rest assured that when division time comes for the lotus I'll send you some along with other fish/ shrimp type goodies

, now about those zebra shrimp....

Ah yes the zebra shrimps.......still gonna do it one day and when I find them you will be the first to take charge of them. Lets hope I'm still kicking when the day comes .
