Unfortunatly, when my female Afia had a booboo and I had to treat the 10 gallon b/c I didn't have an open tank.. the meds thoroughly killed the bacteria so now.. the tank is cycling all over again.

Tested the water earlier... there was a .25 ammonia reading, no nitrites and less than 5 nitrates. Sigh............ this is just so tiring.......

Do you think I should just totally start over with a new filter bag? or should I just rinse out the old one with some tank water and still use it?
There might be some bacteria left, but I dunno.....maybe not enough to worry about keeping. :/

What do you mean plans?
Well... I guess I'm just gonna be stuck having to do water changes every other day again.
Bf wants me to try out putting a dose of Prime into the tank every day to see if that will help with less water changes.
We'll see though.
I had wanted to get some Bio-Spira for it, but bf doesn't want to waste more money on the stuff for it to just not work.... I think I'd rather waste money though with the possibility that it might work.
Oh well... if I have to do water changes alot again, that's just what I'm gonna have to do to ensure that my bettas stay as safe as possible through the process.

cant remember what its called but its made by tetra. My friend has it and its very good. You should try it.

My 65 gallon is going through a full cycle right now due to filter problems. Not fun at all and I've already lost 5 fish!! (one of my beloved panda cories :( ) I don't have much advice, just wanted to say that I feel your pain and to just keep doing what you're doing and good luck :good:
