Hey everyone,

I'm getting a new 15 gallon tank in a month or so :D. I've gone throught so many options...I still haven't decided. I need your help!

I've thought of 2 rams, 2 dwarf gouramies and 6 cories. I also like puffers. If there is a type of freshwater puffer that will live happily in 15 gallons, I would like to know. Also, I don't want to get any livebearers. Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks everyone! :)

Those rams would require dither fish. That would be danios or tetras.

Gouramis might be a problem if the male doesn't leave the female alone or attacks the other male.

I'm not so sure it is a good idea to put rams and gouramis in such a small tank together. It's just my feelings, not backed by anything. Either/or is fine, though. Iw oudl actually think that a ram pair would be a good idea.

I'd skip the rams actualy... They are bottom dwellers and cichlids which means they are territorial so wouldn't appreciate the cories and in a small tank would be better off with 'dither' fish as mentioned but I wouldn't go tetras cause they're rather fragile and nothing less than 20 gallons is good for most danios so a few cherry barbs (which also aren't schooling fish so would be ideal as you don't need large numbers) might be a better option. Having said that, I'd go for the dwarf gouramies or honey gouramies (you could keep a male and 3 females...), the cories and maybe even a couple of otos...
