----I should note that my fish did NOT spawn, but rather I got this off a seller online----

Anyways, hello there!

I have managed to get my hands on 2 Honduran Redpoint Cichlid fry. Unfortunately one died on the journey from England (to Northern Ireland), but the other one is currently floating in a bag in my aquarium. I have put him in my 50 litre until he grows a bit bigger (where I will then release him into my 200 litre tank). If anyone wants to know the fish he will be living with then check my sig =)
In about an hour or so I will let him out to join his new fishmates =)

My questions:

1 - I've no idea how old he is; he's about the same size as one of my Endlers Livebearers (2cm in length). How old does that make him?

2 - How long would I need to keep him in the 50 litre for? When would I be able to put him in the 200 litre?

3 - Compatability: is he compatible with all the fish in BOTH my 50 litre AND my 200 litre? I DID do research, but I would like more opinions nonetheless =)

4 - Feeding; is he able to be fed flakes/bloodworms alongside the other fish in the tank?

Thanks for your time; just a bit concerned (and excited) for my 1st fry!

To the best of my knowledge:

1. Maybe a month? This is really tiny.

2. I'd keep him there until he's too big for any of your other fish to eat. When he's bigger than the biggest mouth.

3. I'm not sure.

4. I'd grind up some flakes for it for a while. Mix them in with the regular size flakes and see what it goes for.

Good luck! Post pics.

Will do, he's just a nightmare at catching (he's a wee speed demon in the tank LOL). The other fish have accepted him readily enough (including my platies which are MASSIVE in comparison), but Caesar (my Siamese fighting fish) has yet to respond........

Here's the wee scamp here:

Unfortunately this is the best shot I could get of him (whilst floating in the bag). He's already settled into the tank quite nicely, and he's taken to foraging around the sunken pirate ship in the tank =P
