we'v just gone through a 9 day heatwave, the temp reached over 100degs the first week and dropped to the HIGH 90s for the last couple of days, anyway my 29 g tang tank got the worst of it(tank temp was off the meter)(the sticky meter not the glass one)so i know it hit atleast 90 in there.I am happy to say they are all doing fine they are all acting normal and eating fine.
it must get hotter in africa, right?i mean the lake temp has to rise or is it to large of a lake?

Not sure on mechanics. But the lake would rise slowly as it's such a large amount of water, plus the lower down it'll be cooler.

Get a floating temp gauge, the glass will hold a bit temp so the sticky ones are usually off a bit ;)
