has anyone kept hese really neat looking fish?? if so how are they in terms of agression, what minimum size group should they be in, and do they go ok with other barbs??

Hi,

I have snakeskin barbs (Puntius rhomboocellatus) in my community tank.

I have a shoal of 8 and they are not aggressive at all. Quite the opposite actually. They shoal with my rummy-nose tetras, it's quite funny.

They are beautiful fish and are a shoaling species so get a minimum of 6.

I haven't kept them with other barbs, but i imagine they would be ok. I wouldn't keep them with Tiger Barbs though as they just don't have the same aggression as the tigers and would probably get eaten for breakfast.

They originate from Borneo and grow to about 3.5 inches, but usually smaller in captivity. They prefer a neutral pH and temp of around 23 - 28C. They will thank you for a well planted tank.

Hope this helps you..
Cheers :good:
