Hello, i have a tiny snail in my tropical fish tank and i would like to know if it would survive in my big bucket outside with rain water and things in, would it survive out in the cold?. I dont like killing anything, if it turns up it gets a home :)

Really depends on the snail and the temp outside. have a look at http://www.applesnail.net for an ID, but if its small you may have no luck. If its cold outside then yes you may kill it, but if its a pest snail that may multiply out of control, that may be the best thing.

If you let it grow in your tank till you can ID it it should not breed in the mean time.

Its ok now, i have put them in a tub with aquarium water and a plant next to the radiator, still dont know what snails they are though as they are tiny.
Thanks for your help :)
