Snails !!!!!

I am having some small dots growing on the inside of my tank, upon closer inspection i think they are snails, is that normal ??? if not what is needed to get rid of them??

They probably arrived on your plants, sneaky little guys In an 8 gallon there aren't really fish that would eat enough of them to make a difference. My favorite method is to set a cucumber slice in the tank, the snails should congregate on it and then you can toss the cucumber.

Personally I like my snails because they help stir my sand, but I have loaches that keep them in check. It's pretty much a personal preference, but they definately can get out of control
