I hate snails. Dont know where they came from but I am going to do a water change to see if that cures my problem!

the snail population will decrease based on the amount of available food. So make sure you vac thoroughly with water changes and dont over feed. I found that by feeding once a day and skipping one day a week that the snail population in my 20 gal livebearer tank almost completely died out without doing anything else other than maintenance and adding a lettuce leaf or cucumber slice at night and removing in the morning. It only took a couple of weeks as well. HTH :)

i don't think a water change will do anything to cure that problem. one way to get rid of a bunch of snails is to put a piece of lettuce in there at night and in the morning there will be tons of snails on it. just remove the lettuce and that should get rid of a lot of them. then just repeat.

i heard that about the lettuce but then I heard it doesnt work -_- but i havent had snails before so I will try and i was trying to cut down how much i feed - i have a sneaking suspicion i am feeding too much anyway. dont know why. thanks!

Borrow a couple of clown loach (don't buy them, your tank isn't big enough for adult clown loach)

Clown loaches will hoover up those pesky molluscs in no time, and eat any snail eggs that they find.
