Snails!

Hi!

We're new to this and have a snail problem that came in on a couple of plants. We've fished out over 20 snails today! Yeuch!

I've been reading through some posts and forum members don't seem to like the Snail Away chemical treatment I got from the aquarium shop so can anyone give me any ideas please?

Just did a water change and nitrite level is high so worried the snails are causing this as we are not ovestocked or overfeeding. One of my dalmation mollies is hanging about the bottom even after the water change so I'm worried.

I'd go with those threads that say DONT put copper based products into your tank. Many consider this a poison.

Instead I used a Flubenol based product dosing once per week for about 5 weeks.... GOODBYE SNAILS.

If you have too many snails it does get quite annoying but if you have a few it is good for the aqaurium they clean your tank by eating the algea.

Another good thing to use to get rid of those snails is introducing a couple of clown loaches or skunk botias. These little guys will definitely help with your problem and they look GREAT!
