So, I was noticing a few snails, I figure they came in on the live plants I put in a few weeks ago. I was plucking them out and flushing them, or smooshing them and letting the corys eat them, but they weren't a big deal.

We went out of town on Saturday morning, and when I got back today (Tues) there are, seriously, 20-40 in the tank. How big a concern is it that they'll completely overrun the tank? Do they reach a maximum saturation point, and then self-control? If the answers to these questions are "huge" and "no", what options are there for eradicating them?

I don't really mind how they look or anything, but I don't want a snail tank with a few fish in it that you can't see because they're covered in snails.

The snails are no threat. To remove them you can put some thing that they eat like lettuce or something dangling from some line and tommorow see if snails come to it and then remove them. You could take a little time out of your day for a while to either pick them out and crush them for food for the fish or just throw them away. I would suggest this but copper kills most invertabrates im not sure how to do but just some info. You could buy some snail eating fish but dont do that. Go with the first one.

you can buy a chemical called "had-a-snail" which will wipe out any snails or invertebrates, but will leave fish and plants unharmed.

Hi,
I've got something called Snail Control by King British and it had no effect on my snails what so ever.
We swipe our tank every morning to get rid of any snails that are on the surface and that appears to keep the problem more or less under control. Other than that, one thing that i have noticed is the my water is excellent since the snails are there. Hope this helps.
