I have a small snail infestation in my planted 29 gallon tank that I want to get rid of. I'm about to move and also plan on changing the substrate whenever I set the tank up in my new place. I want to know how I can ensure that there are NO snails or snail eggs put back into it.

I have 3 plants and a piece of drift wood. Whats the best thing to do to kill all of the eggs on them? Is there some type of solution I can soak them in?

When everything is out of the tank I'm going to completely clean it so hopefully that will take care of them on the glass.

As far as the filter media I planned on taking two catridges from my other tank, which has never had any snails. And also I guess I need to clean out the filter itself. Any recommendations on doing that?

Also if I'm missing anything else please let me know.

Maybe you could leave the drift wood out in the sun with no water for 2 days or so.... i know itll dry up again and everything, but im pretty sure that will work... you can also before hand pick off any eggs you see. And somewhere on here there is a bleach solution or something to use for plants so search getting rid of snails in either the plant forum or on this one... and if they arent live plants do the same thing i suggested with the driftwood with them.
