Hi,

If you just wanted 3 zebras and no other fish it would be do-able just, but they like to swim around a lot and a 10 gallon is pretty restricted. Pakistani loaches grow 8 inches so definately too big for a 10 gal zebs stay smaller at 3.5 - 4 inches.

my lfs mis-sold me the pakistani loach then, because they told me that 4 inches is the maximum for pakistani in captivity?

If there are no fish in the tank you could give it a complete overhall and clean everything change substrate etc keep the water and filter media so you dont have to cycle again or use a snail treatment the loach idea is not really a good idea in a tank that small

Ask the wolf about his, he has 2 that are 8 inches.
