Snails Snails Snails!

hay yall. i recently found a S$%t load of snail in my tank and i suddenly realized they are there because i neglected to drain and wash teh new plants i pout in there a week ago. teh plants are doing ok at the moment but they are quit expensive and i do not wish to fork out another lot of money to replace them.
i was wondering if there is any solutions or liquids out on teh market that will kill and rid of these atrocities from my tank??
if not are there any snail eating fish that will work fast in eating them and that will go with platies, gup[pies, corries, neon tetras, dwarf gouramies and flying foxes? if so please notify me. plus also to give you an idewa of teh tank i have. it is a 3ft 250lt. 3ft by 18" by 18"..... i am in great need of guidance and info.

yes but considering teh many inhabitants i already have in my tank. i could only really fit one in due to teh size they can reach (6 inches)..... are they ok by tehmselves or is it really important to have more than one..... im going tot eh aquarium tromorrow so i am in need of a quick answer from u all.

i asked this question and everyone told me fluval15 kills snails and is OK with fish, this was in the UK i don't know what its called in Australia
