Snails problem, PLEASE Help!

my 27gallon neon tetra tank has been overtaken by snails. The snails are very very small one larger one. I cleaned the tank put a peice of cucumber in it to collect the snails and still there is more and more daily. How the hell am i going to get ride of these things
