I bought some new plants for my new tank im starting up and now have 6 baby snails crawling on the side. Do you always get baby snails on new plants? Also the side of my tank seems to have like a fuzz growing on the side. I'm not sure if this is algie but help would be appreciated.

No, you don't always get baby snails on plants. It's quite common though. Best to rinse the plants. Andy wrote a great article about it. Here it is.

Fuzz... it may be algae with debris stuck to it.

so there not snail eggs or anything right? Do snails even lay eggs

yes they do.

common pest snails tend to lay clear jelly like blobs with white dots in them but I haven't seen how ramshorns and MTS eggs look yet.

Andy

Yeah snails do lay eggs. But they look like a tiny cluster of semi-transparent jelly-covered dots. Usually on the underside of leaves or behind filters etc. Loaches are good at getting rid of snails and their eggs, so if you haven't decided on which fish to go in the tank yet you could always consider a little group of loaches ^_^

Meh... you got there before me! Sorry about that. I wasn't being a parrot!

oooo boy.
I think i may have a ton of snail eggs in my tank heres some pics.
