Quite honestly I don't usually worry about them (I have loaches), but usually give the plants a quick once over and a thorough rinse in tap water. If you are concerned a 5% bleach solution ~20:1 for a couple of minutes works. Someone on here had also mentioned the use of a potassium permanganate (KMNO4) solution, but I don't have any idea about the concentration (Plus the stuff is a pain to work with puple liquid that gets everywhere and will put holes in clothes made of any natural fiber)

I dont bother. If your that keen on removal or prevention, run them under some tap water, and survey the undersides of the leaves finely.

My snails have populated my planted tank, and dont cause any props. They dont eat leaves, they just eat algae. I spose different species could vary.

Most people dont seem to be worried about snails however, in my 21g tank the snail population has been increasing steadily; and this is even with me removing 10-30 snails a week during water changes. Do I have an unusually "fertile" species? If I wasnt removing so many snails I think there would be 100+ in the tank now.....

The snails also make allot of small poop, I wonder if this has a negative effect on my corries?
