Snails In Or Not

Is it safe to put 2 snails in if my ammonia is 0 Nitrite 1ppm nitrate 5ppm I have fish in and they are doing fine.

You should try to get your Nitrite below .25 ppm. Nitrite affects fish in a way that carbon monixide affects humans...it prevents the blood cells from carrying oxygen properly.
