How do I get rid of them? Are their fish that I can buy to take care of the problem?

Is any Snails egg layers?

Are ScissorTails egg layers?

Are endlers slow-growing fish, will they get about the same size as a guppy?

Would a dwarf gourami mix well with 3 scissortails and an endler in a 10 gallon?

Some snails do lay their eggs in the water as well, usually on drift wood or rocks.
Scissortails are probably egg layers as the family they come from lays eggs, however they do not usually reproduce unless the conditions are right.
Endlers do not get to be the size of guppies, they stay smaller.

In terms of stocking, how big is your tank?

10 gallons, and I have 4 fish in it. 3 scissor tails, and 1 endler. Also apparently some snails which I'll take care of tomorrow.

different types of loachs eat snails for a ten gallon u could get like 2 yo yo loachs to help clean up

if u have live plants in the tank ill put money on that thats where they came from, most snail eggs are transparent therefore if u do not fully wash ur plants b4 u put them in the tank you could end up with more snails than u realize, but the easiest safest way to get rid of them would be to buy a couple snail eating fish but with a ten gallon tank you are limited to what you can put in there for ex. NO clown loachs

What about the gouramis?

Can someone gimme an idea of a few non-aggressive fish to put in there to take care of my problem?

Weeks ago I did have a snail in there but it died. Guess this was it's parting gift, I bet it's looking down on me and laughing.

yo yo loachs

they only get like 3-4 inches they look pretty cool to any type of loach should eat snails but just watch the different types of loachs b.c some get big

good fish site scroll down till u see the loachs section there u go at least i know they are the most snail eating type of fish i have read about

YO YO.. those are the ones that lookv like striped green worms right? I'll try to get one or two. How many should I get for a 10 gallon?

one should suffice but u could maybe do two if u do two loachs and those 2 dwarf grouamis that will be about it for ur tank

What about the other fish? Would 1 yo yo loaches, 2 gouramis, 3 scissortails and one endler be OK in there?

That sounds a little overstocked doesn't it.

and u know snails arent always a bad thing i got them a little in my 30 gallon tank but they eat most of the dead plant material so i do not have to take it out myself, but when i set up my 60 gal tank in the next couple weeks i dont think im gonna do a planted tank like i did with my 30 prob do more rock and driftwood since its gonna be a cichlid tank

Yoyo loaches like to be in group of at least 3, but bigger is always better
I beleive they will get too big to be in a ten gallon, i've seen some bigger than 4"

You could try zebra loaches which only get to about 3" however they also would appreciate a bigger tank, i had three in my ten gallon but now they are alot more happy in my twenty.
I think you would have to go with dwarf loaches...i think they are called chain loaches

I dont think any other loaches that eat snails would be suitable for your tank.

If you're getting a dwarf gourami, i would only get one. Males will fight each other to death basically in a ten gallon.
While they are sold in pairs, they do better in trios with 2 females to 1 male. As the males are quite agressive to the females (my friend calls my male dwarf wife beater) except for the small time period of spawning (but all through the creation of the nest and after spawning the male will chase the female)
A ten gallon isnt really large enough for the females to get away.

you can always stick an algae wafer of piece of zuchini in, all the snails should go to it, then you can just simply remove it.

But yea =P reminds me of when i was stocking my ten gallon
