ones small enough and soft enough for them to crunch - ie not malaysian trumpets, and ones about the size of their eye. If you put too big a snail in, they sometimes just "pick" bits off and leave some left in the shell - if you dont spot these half-eaten ones and fish them out theres the risk of these causing water quality issues
