Just noticed that I have around 5 snails in my tank that I nor my girlfriend has put there, I bought live plants off ebay and have asked the seller if they could have come from them but have no reply as yet, they are of blue and purple appearance. I am totaly bemused as to how they got there, do you know if they are harmfull or good for my tank ? Don't know much about snails by the way

i had a few pop up from plants purchased

people are of the opinion they are bad for the tank, and they will multiply very very quickly(ie. get them out your tank NOW)

i got rid of the 2 i found a few days ago and lucky for me, have had no more appear, some on here said they can pick up to 50 out a week, they breed that much

so id drag them out and get shut now if i was you

ive actually got mine now in a seperate tank for feeding fish in a few months

I bought the plants about 2 months ago, do they take that long to hatch ? what kind of fish would eat them ? I only have neons and zebras just now.

Maybe there were eggs on the plants? Some pics would help

not able to post a pic just now but will try to tommorow

jeesh

i bought my plants and within a day or two i had 2 crawling out

if ive got any eggs in plants then im gonna be a bit screwed i guess, but i am looking at removing all current plants once i have got all my water levels correct anyway

onto which type of fish eat small snails...puffer fish

there may be more, but i know they are good for puffers for the teeth/beaks

with the litre to gallon i get 90 gal but then using the measurements i get 30 gal, so i am now confused

We The Wolf reccommended these guys for my 15 gallon, so they'll be great for yours.

Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki Dwarf or chain loach or
botia rostrata sergent major loach aka two stripe loach aka geto loach, formerly know as botia geto

and also was reccommended these by kuhliloacher: Skunk, Yoyo, and Burmese Border loaches
