Snails And Malachite Green!?!?!

i am new to keeping an aquarium and recently had an out break of white spot to which i lost 2 clown loaches and my pleco (i think this died because i turned the temp up but not sure)
i had just bought snails and was about to put them into the tank when i noticed the problem
i have treated the tank, last treatment was a week ago have done a 25% water change and all seems to be well in regards to there being no more white spot

i was wondering if anyone knows how long i should leave it or what precautions i should take before i introduce the trumpet snails into the tank because i have been told the malachite green in the white spot medicine will kill them

You could always put some carbon into the filter, that will remove any of the chemical that's left in the water.
