Snails And Bugs!

I have a 20gal. tank that i'm trying to plant so far it's got 2 plants and no fish. I just removed 11 snails from the tank. i'm guessing they hitck hiked on my plants i don't want them, so what is the best way to get rid of them?

I also relized i have a bunch of little bugs zipping around in there to how do i get rid of those?

Just float a lettuce leaf they will hop onto it then remove them, what do the bugs look like.

My snails love algae wafers. Put an algae wafer in a cup in the tank, wait for the snails to find the food, then pour the water through a cloth or something very clean back into the tank. Then just remove the snails from the cloth and there you go. Also keep an eye out for egg patches on the glass. Smoosh them when you find them. Snails aren't so bad in my book unless they eat your plants. Don't use hadasnail or copper based snail killing chems, They tend to leave a lot of snail carcasses in your tank which fouls your water.

I will use the cucumber in a cup metod, but i haven't seen anymore snails yet. The bugs are very small and white, they are on the glass and surface of the water. They zip around really fast sometimes.

No, but there might be a few of those in there . The bugs r very small like specks and when they travel they move in a stop, go, stop, go way, kind of like jumping . I did gravel vacume the tank yesterday after i started this topic, and usually i vacume the tank once every 1 1/2 weeks. if it had fish in it i would do it every week but it still only has plants.
