One of my members said she has a big female Apple snail. She says that it left the shell and crawled around the bottom of the tank and went back in it's shell. Is this possible? Or are they seening things

Sounds like she told you a big fib. No it isn't possible.

I am a Admin of a turtle forum. We seem to have a lot in common with equipment, filters, hardware, plants and DIY. We start out getting snails for our turtles and end up having them as pets. So we try to learn about them. As I really like this board, I ask my questions here.
The member said her mom and brother saw it come out of the shell so maybe they were pulling her leg.
