Hi all, i have had my tank set up and running great for about a month now, but last week i started to notice i had a few snails but thought nothing of it. Now i seem to be infested with the things and do not know how to get rid of them. I have heard that you can put some chemical in the water which stuns them or knocks them out, but how do i get them out of the tank and stop this from happening again. thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

That happened to me when i brought home a live plant, I just cleaned the tank and gravel and they haven't come back since. I also had read that a certain fish will eat them but not sure if it was true. Hope this helps.

Clown loaches will get rid off them but get them in 2s or 3s
mentioning their size would be a good idea - they get to 10-12" so you will need a BIG tank.

Most chemical arnt too good and can be harmfull to some fish and plants.

We treated our 15 gal twice with no luck - so we got 2 ladder loaches that get to about 3" - the snails now know who's boss.
