Snail Question

The pros are prolly gonna laugh at me but ...I am tickled pink that I now have snails in my cycling tank thanks to the mature sponge filter I ordered online. I know they can grow to problem proportions but eh...right now while I can't have Fish the snails were EXACTLY what my cubs needed while they wait ( and me too honestly) lol.

However, my 8 year old, science minded as he is...wants to know what their "kind" is called and how big will they get. I have no clue and when I did a search on snails well lets just say its way too many results for me to ever find these. I have 2 that I've seen and they are tiny and tannish in color. Anyone know?

the most common snails i know ov that breed like rabbits is the mts do they look like this

no...their shells aren't oblong like that

Size wise...they would each fit on the eraser of a pencil with room to spare...but the one is way smaller than the other..pin head small.

They are probably pond snails. We have a nieghborhood pond that has little snails about that size.
