Snail! Or Not.

I have a photo of what I hope is not snails or something,
Dont see them move.
Well I did one but need to make sure of what this is.
I have ALOT of them on my plants very few on my glass.

now I did have 2 snails contaminate my tank,
but remove them prompt when they were small.

I have removed alot but want to make sure they aint something else.

If they are should I treat as there is Alot of them.

That picture looks like it's a snail to me. There are various ways of easily removing them.

I plan on buying an apple snail!
as from what I have read they dont destroy plants,
and also will probably eat the little buggers!!?

Apple snails, may snack on your live plants. But they won't eat the littlelier snails if that's what your thinking. Clown Loaches and pufferfish will though. Try putting a piece of romaine lettuce in. This will attract the little snails in your tank and in the morning remove the lettuce and you should be able to easily remove the snails this way.

I think I have most of them but will do the lettuce one, well cucumber all I have,

From what I read apple snails like dead plants algae etc.. (dependent on the specific type of apple snail,
if my LFS can tell me what type they have haha)
Its either one of them or a dwarf otocinclus would be nice to clean brown algae etc..

they have been obliterating my amazon plants

Oto's are known for doing a great job with algae, however the problem is after they clean up all the algae. Be sure that you have enough food to supplement them afterwards as that is when most Oto's starve.

I put cucumber in my tank last night had a lay down on my bed,
In the corner of my eye I see a very excited catfish,
morning comes and I have a hollow cucumber hehe,
Im going now with the squish the snails method,

Regarding otos I can buy some vegetables for them,
But worried the catfish might muscle them out,
On that circumstance I should hopefully have my 2nd 3ft tank to put him with my red tailed shark (not ideal)
but will provide them both with their own territory.
