Snail Muncher !!

Hi Guys

I'm just going through a short list for my new tank(my first), i am after something that will munch on snails but not any other fish and is happy in a community tank, i have already scrubbed out clown loaches cos they're socialable and i haven't got the room available for 3 +. By the way i have a 63 gallon tank.

Any ideas ?

do you have any ideas on what fish you want in there aswell, this could effect your final choice

most types of loach will eat snails, botia striatia is a smaller loach and a group of 2-4 of them would do well depending on tank mates, there usually easy to find aswell.

The other fish we have planned are-

a bristlenose
a pair of peppered oto's
harlequins
cardinal tetras
dwarf gourami
pearl danios
guppies
cherry barb
golden barb.

As yet we haven't decided on quantities cos its too hard to out one or another.
If you've got any thoughts on this as well i'd appreciate it.

Any botia loach will eat snails.

So just go see which one appeals to you and then maybe we can give you some info on that species.
