My 35 litre tank is getting more and more snail infested. Theyre only little but gosh there is a few, and it will only get worse I fear!

I dont want to use Snail Rid or any chemical to get rid of them because it can harm the plants and stress the fish cant it?

What fish eat snails, ive been told that clown loaches do? Id there anything else?

Thanks

Do you know how they got into your tank? I'm assuming they are ramshorn snails..... the little buggers. I just went through an infestation as well. Just when you think you've gotten them all, there are a dozen more in your tank the next morning.

Not sure what fish eat them. I had to hand pick them out. Check your filter completely to see if that's where they are laying eggs. I ended up doing a complete substrate change and had to scrub all the decor as well as change my filters out and grab one of my husband's filters to help the tank stay cycled.

Good luck! :good:

Best way I have found is to put a slice of cucumber in overnight weighted down and it will be covered with snails by the morning, just lift the cucumber out and hey presto. :)
