a work assosiate of mine has a snail problem brought in with some weed he purchased!
i suggested some clown loach but soon found out that he only had an 80 ltr tank so they would be a daft idea given the size they reach!
does anyone know of other loach that eat snails, that would keep the snail numbers down as well as clown loach, but not grow quite as big as them? i dont think he is a big fan of chemicals and wants to get rid of the snails without filling the tank with toxins.
please help!!

p.s. im sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Take a slice of cucumber and put it in the tank, under some bogwood or similar ornaments. Do it just before you turn the lights off.

All the snails will crawl to the cucumber and afwe hours later you can just take the cucumber out.

You can use one of the commercial snail killer potions to kill off the eggs...

The bait with a cucumber method works for a lot of people, so you could go with that.

The dojo loach also eats snails, but their maximum size seems to depend on which LFS sells it from what I gather.

thanks for all the suggestions.
i like your idea, tempestuousfury, as i could be that person who takes the loach off him when they get too big!
