Snail For Diablo ?

what snail would be good for a 15 litre tank with one fighter?

Some members have had success keeping apple snails with bettas/fighters, but I did not. I kept my VT Charlie with an apple snail for a short time, until I realized that he had bitten Poppet's antenna off. Poppet NEVER came out of his shell I moved Charlie into temporary housing and Poppet came right out and has been on the go ever since. I think it all comes down to the temperament of the betta in question. I have a feeling my boy Luck, who is in a community tank with guppies, wouldn't have a problem with snails, but Charlie was a total bully.

...
so i named him appropriately

i have a back up tank, if worst comes to worst...
question,
what snails are quicker than a betta (to retreat into their shells)
or are they pretty much the same...?

If he's killed other things then I wouldn't chance a snail with him. Snails are pretty slow. Plus I think the tank size is a bit small for a snail.

...Yeah, I wouldn't chance putting a poor snail in with him. Maybe he's just meant to be alone

Ive got an apple snail in with one of my betta blue, and he's only in about 20ltr rests on his shell. Weird fish.

I also have apple snails and they got harassed frequently from the beginning.
Now they just snail along 'blind' (in their shells) and only truly come out during the night.

I have a 60 litre tank though, so it's peaceful.. most of the time.
