Hi,
I was wondering if Giant African Land Snail eggs would be any good as food for my Oscar. I have a couple of snails and they often lay eggs which are thrown away. But if they can be used as a good food suppliment for my Oscar, then all the better. Any help will be very appreciated.
Many thanks
Ian

I dont know of any reason not to try them, obviously if the Oscar wont eat them, take them out so as not to foul the water.

Wait for some more answers in case someone knows if these would be bad for an Oscar, but they eat aquarium snails/eggs, so Land snails eggs should be ok.

You probably do, but do you dispose of your land-snail eggs properly? i.e not just throwing them in the bin or outside

At college we feed the snail eggs/baby snails to anything that will eat them lol

Hiya Ryefish,
I have only just got the snails (they are adults), but I will dispose of them properly by freezing them first.

freezer is the easiest way to go!
I loved my Land Snail! Definately a fun pet to have.

Have the fish decided they are a delicacy yet?
None of my fish showed any interest in intact African snail eggs -tried them on cichlids, livebearers and golden rudd. Maybe they will eat crushed eggs, will try just before water change is due
