I have a snail boom in my fry tank, what the best way of gettong rid of these little pains.

I know some loachs eat snails but not shore what sort to get, I need something that stays small, as once eaten the snails, it will be jooining the reast of the fish in my adult tank.

please help.

Weight down a piece of lettuce on the bottom of the tank and let the snails converge on it - you can remove many at once this way.

i heard u can put a piece of cucumber on top of the tank and they will all meet on top of it the next mornin, not positive tho so it will be great if sum1 could back me up on this

The methods suggested are very good, but i wouldn't get clown loaches unless you have a huge tank. you could go for of the smaller varieties though, i believe some of them eat snails too, something like the zebra loach.

Try not to use chemicals, because this can cause an ammonia spike from all the dead and rotting snails.

P.T.

I had the same problem , and I just got two yoyo loaches for my snail problem. They are tiny right now (later they will join my full grown yoyos), so I am assisting them by doing the sunken piece of lettuce every couple days. I think it will be a slow process, but at least it is chemical free.

I most certainly won't be getting Clowns, as one my tank to small and 2, I don't acherly like them.

How big do Yo Yo's get??

the cucumber idea sounds good to. But using both would be good, as there SO many.
