I just snagged this large tank for free! Yes it's a custom built one but it's very big. I'd say they tried basing it on a Juwel tank or something from looking at the height and the wood at the top. They sure did a good job! I'm going to give it a good clean an scrub down and then set it up! Not sure what to put in it yet... Maybe some larger Cichlids?
Any way! Here's a picture!

That can't be bad, especially for FREE!
What's the dimensions?

Nice one.
I know they're not large but I'm loving apisto's at the minute.

I'm getting a group of 4 A. Alacrina soon hopefully.

I was thinking of an Oscar but the tank may be too small... I just want mainly one centre piece fish with some smaller fish to compliment it...

Aye, an oscar would need more room. Find out the exact measurements and we may be able to give different suggestions.

Will do. I'll post them later as I need to go out right now...

Ya know, I reckon a Malawi Cichlid set-up would look awesome in there.

I know but it's messing about getting the water right and everything... I mean, my PH isn't the best for Malawi's seen as it's 6.4 naturally...
The full measurements are 3'x20"x12", Length, Height, Width.

I was thinking of something like a Glass Catfish set-up at one point but I don't think I'll do that in this tank as it's not my ultimate dream... Just a fantasy,

If you can give me suggestions that will work with these measurements that are more unusual or are larger fish then be my guest. If you can make up a few stocklists I'll research and see if I can mix certain fish from them stocklists, unless I like the stocklist as it is...

Even if your pH is 6.4, you could do a crushed coral substrate to boost the pH naturally. Also, you could use limestone rock (this is what I did to keep the pH up in my malawi tank) for the rockscape.
