I have two baloon mollies ( or thats what the store called them ) whats the best size of tank for just the two of them, and whats the smallest tank i could put them in. I can only afford bare minimum for the moment, in a couple weeks I can get a larger tank.

here's the male (sorry for the poor quality, i used a video camera stills)

Really you want something a minimum of 50litres. Problem will mollies is a male and female will probably breed together.

I always think buy the biggest tank you can, because chances are you will like fish and start buying more. You could get away with a smaller tank if its short term, something like a 30l will do for a short while.

Shop around for specials on individual items and for pre-packaged kits.

Almost any major retailer that sells fish supplies offers starter tank kits, and you would be very surprised to find complete kits (with good filters and heaters) than have tanks double the size of a basic small tank (that is just a tank with a poor filter) for almost half the price!

Also, if someone is running a blow-out sale, you can sometimes find a tank and supplies that are even cheaper than a starter kit.

yeah its look to look around for deals. anyway i think a 10g would be fine

a 10 Gallon would be ok for the pair , but don't plan on keeping many of the babies lol
