Small tank lighting?????

hello what the best way to get over 1 wpg in a 24x15x12 tank?? because im having trouble

you'll need two tubes or more in the hood - is that about a 15 gallon tank? if so, two 15 watt lights will bring you to the 2wpg mark but if possible 3 x 15 watt light would be good.

also remmeber that you need reflectors.

Consider T5 power compacts, this type of lightening would be small enough to fit your tank hood easily, one 16" power compact would give you 36watts, one 21" would give you 55watts more than enough, you obviously need the correct controller for the light as well, if you go the normal flourescent route you will need more than one as they arnt as powerful as the compacts.
