Materials that you need is a fish food container(size that best fits size of shrimp and size of fish in aquarium), and something to cut, like scizzors. Ok you get the container and leave the top on and cut 2 holes in each side of the container big enough for your shrimp but not big enough for the fish to get in. Then all you need to do is lay it down in the tank where you want to and put gravel in it enough to hold it down and there you go, cheap easy place for your shrimp to get in to to molt or just hide from fish.

IMO i wouldn't use this with loaches/catfish are any other fish with a smooth/slimey skin, they could try and get in there and well theres a garrenti that they will cut themselves?
other than that, great idea.
