Hi' all ,

Just thinking my tank looks really empty as my tanks stock is all juvi ,
dimensions are l48*w12*h15

current stock (changes a fair bit)

1 juvi senegal (about 3-4cm)
2 juvi Geo's - so couldnt have cory's
2 juvi kissing gourami's
1 juvi elephant nose- will go into a bigger tank when its fully grown
1 bristlenose pleco

Im after something small that i can get a shoal off, im not wanting Corys as theyll be in the same area as my geo;s , did have some neon's but i had angels at the time which over a week ate all of them. Any suggestions ? the senegal can hardly fit bloodworm in its mouth so not any chance of him/her eating out .
Must be something widely available as there isnt many shops near me.

edit * my ph is pretty high where i live so need to be ok with 7.5+
Cheers Ben

Praecox rainbows, or possibly larger rainbows, boesemani, lactustris.

whats there bioload like from them?how many would be ideal in the tank? i know they need to be in 5+ i think these are in one of the miadenhead stores so will have a look.

Not a large bio load, assuming we are talking praecox, the larger the group the better, minimum of 6 IMO.

yeh i was talking about praecox, cool i'll have a look round my local fish shops see how many they have if any. Thanks for the advise as always

Got 6 of the praecox today they were £2.95 each so not to bad, 2 of them tend to stay away from the other 4 though.. is this just them settling in or should i buy some more?

Give them a chance to settle, I also recommend keeping the lights off for a day if you can, as lights can startle them when they are new to the tank and it makes them stay near the bottom, but once they settle in, they will be fine.
