Hi

Once I went to a pet shop and the guy was talking about various fish. I told him the size of my tank (only 2ft  ). He then offered me silver sharks (bearing in mind I already had a good few other fish). I asked him if my tank was too small and his reply was "it's okay, these are small ones". I've been in since and the exact same thing happened to another customer.

Is this true or was he telling me porky's? Can you get "small" sharks.

I didn't buy.

lol.

I have 2 in my 4ft tank, which is about the smallest really for them. I doubt they will get to 12" to be honest. Ive had mine for 2 yrs now, and they are about 4" long and dont seen to be growing more, but they love to swim flat out around the tank and can also stress out your other fish with their thrashing around.

I would take them back and change them for something smaller :)

o.o i dont understand why people keep driving at how small silver sharks are at the time of purchase and tend to forget that they do get real big. a 2 feet is a straight no. and i think a 4 feet wouldnt do either.
