I want to increase the number of plants in my tank. It's already got an Amazon Sword (I'm lead to believe) which is thriving.

I want some extra smaller plants and am looking for some ideas - my tank is around 15 Gallons so quite small. I really like the idea of some grass style plants but all the ones I have seen grow to around 50+cms (too tall for my tank)

I also don't want to get into adding CO2 as I don't think I'm ready for that level yet!!! I just can't stand the look of fake plants and want the benefits of real ones!

Any suggestions welcome.

mmmmm hard 1,..................u cud add some java fern or something like that..and u can get some nice artificial plants..NO, u cant get nice fake plants lol! but some do look real, but they tend to be expensive! wait for some1 hu nows about plants to help u, or u cud add ur query in the plant section?

Micro Sword and Dwarf Hair Grass stay relatively short. Micro Sword grows well and will branch out and spread over time. Harvest it now and then and break in to different bunches and replant. Your tank will fill up in no time flat. Dwarf Hair is really dense and fine but doesn't grow very fast. I usually just use it around entrances to caves and openings under driftwood.

Glosso would make a really nice carpet plant too................

Check the pinned articles for more info. TONS of it in there.
