Hello,

When I was visiting friends in Kent, earlier in the year I saw some fantaic tank ideas for a single male betta but I cant find out what they are anywhere.

I have seen the little ones on ebay that look like a picture frame but thats not them. They come in various shapes and sizes, loads to choose from, I think they were expensive but adapted to have lights, filters etc, FANTASIC!

I have asked my friend to have a look and see if they is a name of the maker on them, I only thought of them when I joined this forum today, anyone any ideas??

I have no idea? There are so many small tanks marketed for Bettas, these days. Just keep in mind: bigger tanks are better! 2.5 gallons minimum, especially for males, is advised.

Yes if you are new to Bettas I should tell 1g is the absolute minimum for a Betta but a 2.5g and higher is even better. Personally I got mine 5.5g :D

2.5g-5g is ideal, but 1 gallon to 10 gallons, or even more, is pretty sufficient.

MAKE SURE IT IS AT LEAST 1 GALLON or we will hunt you down and kill you. Don't believe the stores when they say they require a minimum of a quart of a litre. That is way too small.

And definitely DON'T, for god's sakes, keep one in a wine glass.

A wine glass?!? That's a new one!

Some betta love community tanks as well. I have one male in a very open 20 gallon with snails and loaches and he is the KING in there! I also have one in a seven gallon with shrimp and loaches, and he seems to enjoy how clutered that tank is. They do have different interests, but I think whatever you put them in straight from the store is what they end up getting attached to. I think if I switched them around now they'd both go insane.

Welcome to the forum. These guys know what they are on about. Rusty and Squeak say hello...

I took the divider out of my old boys tank today..the betta that was left swam on his own side for about 30 seconds..then edged very carefully all round the tank... :shout: :shout:
