Small gravel vs sand....

Ok I have a 45 g spare tank that I've finished cycling. I eventually want to put in cories in it (should be soon) anyway I was wondering whether I could use the gravel i have in...its the very small type

(The type that is smaller than others but just before sand if you get my drift)

I know usually gravel can scrape on the cories whiskers...and can cause death but I though since this gravel is small enough....What is your opinion on keeping these critters in this tank?

Hi Rybka

It's all up to you. Corys will do fine with very fine gravel, as long as it has no sharp edges.

I used that for years without ever having problems, but am now in the process of making the change to sand. The corys love it, and I wish I had made tha switch earlier.
