Small Fish Resembling Kisser?

Get a massive tank and get 6 of each with sand as your base xD

Kittykat, I have 3 female platys and 1 female molly. I don't know the sex of either cory yet. What's the best way to mix them so they're happier. They both sleep side by side hidden away. Breaks my heart! Considering I didn't want the tank in the first place, I'm becomming obsessed!

Don't worry about sexing the Corys, their genders are not important unless you want to breed. Once you get the 180 litre, I recommend that you increase the numbers to 6 of each species.

I'm not a fan of livebearer setups, but if you want to get more, then 2 male and 6 female platys should work well in the long term (alongside the 1 female molly), as they will breed and there will be a lot of babies. Before you head down that route, make sure you know how to find new homes for the babied because you will become overstocked at some point.

Otherwise, look at getting a nice school of harlequin rasboras or similar.

Hmmm, I can see it now. A Rio 180 with sand substrate and lots of happy corys etc. I'm so itching to get it. Would be the very end of my savings but I'm past caring. I've deffo got the fish bug! My heartbroken daughter accepts now that our kisser is not coming back so can you guys recommend a small gourami who would be happy on his/her own and non-agressive towards other fish?

A single male dwarf of honey gourami shouldn't cause you too many issues. They have a reputation for being a bit pushy and greedy but without other males or females to chase you should be ok in my opinion, my single male is a chilled little guy.

HAve you had a look on ebay/gumtree/preloved etc for second-hand tanks? You can really get some bargains instead of spending all your cash buying one brand new.

Good luck! On ebay I got my 100L (not quite what you're after but still) for about 20 quid, and a 60L with another 60l thrown in for free for about the same price. It;s a pain in the backside to find what you want but it can be worth it
